Well I hope everyone out there (in the U.S.) had a rad 4th of July or just a fun weekend if you're not in the U.S... I know I sure did. Lake Tahoe is the place to be for the 4th if you're anywhere within a 50 mile radius and that's exactly what we did. Friday was an all day rage sesh on the beach at Zephyer Cove and continuing in down town South Tahoe until the wee hours of Saturday morning. We had a pretty good crew so it was a blast. One of our buddies has this incredible house that's been in his family for years that over looks pretty much the entire lake and we got to crash there for a night. Unreal.
Saturday my buddies Trevor, Mike and I went over to the west shore of Tahoe to Meeks Bay to meet up with my aunt and uncle and little cousins and my boss actually, who is incredibly rad by the way, to go out on his boat a wake surf. The Tahoe water is usually freezing balls cold but since it's been so hot here it was amazing. We each had a couple sessions on the wake surf and my little cousins and my boss's young kids rode the taco tube... and then after being called out by my 8 year cousin, Trev, Mike, and I rode the tube. There definitely wasn't enough room for the three of us so Mike was pretty much riding on top of Trevor the whole time. Good stuff. After a while the wind started to pick up and the lake started to get super choppy so we took it in.
We had only planned on staying in Tahoe Friday night so when my boss invited us back on the boat for a Sunday surf sesh we had to find a place to stay. Fuckin simple... The Love Bus Inn! We left Meeks Bay and headed for Tahoe City to get some food and find a place to park the bus and sleep. On our way there we ended up picking up this rad chick named Sara who was hitch hiking home. Long story short, we hung out with her all night and got to crash at her pad. Good thing cause it would have been a cold and uncomfortable sleep in the bus.
So Sunday we went back on the lake and the water was straight butter. I picked up wake surfing a few summers ago and have been so stoked on it ever since. If you've never heard of or seen wake surfing check it out here. It's so much fun. We had another great session but had to cut it a little short cause Mike had to get back to Reno for some summer school BS he had to do.
So anyway Tahoe is my favorite place in the world and we had a sweet ass time over the weekend. If any of you out there have a chance to go it's something you definitely have to do. Here are a few photos we took our Tahoe adventures.
